-
- 08/29/92
- Long Beach Traveler's Aid Fair finds MacColin in the one place you could blow smoke rings, with flags and tents waving in the wind all around, and hot and humid. The battle was fought according to two conflicting scripts. Leslie Stotlar appeared in a kilt, with more surgery schedualed on her right hand next month. Rumor of confrontation of Christal, Steve, & Stacy of Italians. Payment for damage to Sean Davidson's truck (tire, rim?, and ?). Bill peeved at not being included on gate list, and maintains $100.00 owed to be converted to memberships.

- *** insert Watson letters, Cunningham warrant & letters
- 1993 ======================== 1993
- 01/16/93
- Steve Flanigan wrote and mailed a letter under warrant (Eoin's) concerning self centered plotters, and specifically Gwen Watson's "meeting". The first half covered why Clan is organized as it is and the problems it seeks to avoid, and the latter specificly Gwen's meeting and complaints.
- 01/30/93
- Hogmanay 12 was held in the Waffel house again, with rain and hail in the afternoon, setteling around four for the State of the Clan Address. This one is solvent, and without great vituperative episodes, and only animated discussion as to how Cotter was to get out of there when not in a shape to drive. Michael Raps kit was found, identified, and on its way home before the end.
The people who are being introduced on this years honor's list have to one degree or another learned to "move the fingers."

- 02/14/93
- Officer's Meeting ended at 0419, covering planning for Faire, Cunningham's Baron's Court, spring, and Gwen Watson. Cathy Borque's canvas location is still unclear, as is the location of John Wildermuth's large grommet setter.
- 02/17/93
- "Flannigan Letter" mailed
- 02/20/93
- Earlier today I was read the text of a nasty letter which was labled as from Flanigan, which was faxed to Paul by John Hackworth. He is concerned that his confidential address was used, and the security of the Clan Database has been breached. I have created a nondisclosure form, and identified the means of finding the culpret. ~ I examined the two most recent letters at Sean Pol's ("Flanigan" and Clandestine) and am satified that they are from the same source, which I believe to be Cunningham. This is in keeping with the insurgent "blue sky" discussion I heard in the Jacob's bedroom at a meeting some time ago. I can only conclude that he has decided to try his PsyOps learning against the Clan. I have an idea what the punisment of the baron's court is to be.
- 02/20/93
- Seannachie # 95 published included Chief Speaks on Reasoning, Thanks, Imbolc, St. Valentines Day, Wapenshaw/Craft/Costume workshop, Honors, Hogmanay 12 Address, Membership dues policy, Renewal time, Faire stuff, and announcments.
- 02/22/93
- Clan Destine II has arrived, and a responce has started. The address is in error, with the same error as Watson (92703 instead of 92707) which suggests that there is involvement.
- 02/23/93
- A letter arrived from (Jay?) Watson with the Clan Distribution Disk with nothing added or removed, and a letter using a nice TT font, and saying that nothing was retained, and too bad, another font had been on the way, and the next Seannachie would have been nice, but... No paper sources have been recieved to date, hence Watson is in breach of oath, with not enough back, and just short of 2 weeks till responce.

- Text submited for Seannachie 96- An Sporran (HELP), Clan Destine 2 reply, Sumptuary laws. Mohneys have Xerox 16\8 up, and all the recent text. Daoine Uasail letter to get final mailing.
- 03/05/93
- Clan Destine 2 #2 arrived, mailed from the same P.O. Beginner's Guide draft dropped off for Chief's review. Maybe lacking a bit of editing and the clothing graphics...close.
- 03/06/93
- In the wee hours the reply to Clan Destine2 #2 completed.
- 03/09/93
- Cunningham's witness list has arrived with 45 names, including a number of non-members, and a statement that it will not occur within the two month period specified, "Unless, he decides to withdraw all charges and remove Cristal and her cronies from all positions. I told him before 'force majeure' applies."
- 03/19/93
- Clan Destine 2 #3 Reply completed
- 03/30/93
- Clan Destine 2 #4 Reply completed
- 04/04/93
- Work is split between Dr. Jay's where the joinery is being done and the site, with paperwork reaching a feavered pitch. Steve spent much of the time shmoozing, and got a 250 gal holding tank and pumping. Steve Gillan, Terry Booth, Dixon Rose, Norm and the Jacobs stayed at Jay Sat. nite and did woodwork.
- 04/10/93
- The panic begins with a late (0130)arrival to Faire resulting in being locked in, and work starting in costume, being dress rehearsal, with the camp lacking even the wood. Many trips to Dr. Jays required to get all the wood there.
- 04/11/93
- The platforms are done, left tent frame assembled, and Cotters, Dean's, Voorhes's, and Brian's up and seemingly ready except for skirting. Tournaig lacks a front, but is functional. Most of the centeral bents have been pegged with 1/2 and 7/16 pegs.
- 04/15/93
- A 1500hrs. call from LHC required the Budget in within 2 hours.
- 04/16/93
- The work crew is arriving late, with only the kitchen half way ready to open. Padirig and Victor were on the lot, but the start was raggedy. Salanger's generator is reluctant, and gummed up, and Victor did the cleanup on it. Cathy's coffee seemed to be the que to really get down to work. Dr. Jay went out and bought a 2200 watt generator as well to insure enough was available to get the job done.
- 04/17/93
- Faire abandoned a cart in front about 0200. Work continued, mostly with Jay's generator running the lights and saw as we worked until opening, running out of gas at 0730, and a bent raising party using most all personnel to complete the minimum. With the tents up (sorta), the cart hidden, and no sleep for the senior lot, the Faire opening day started with a trip around the park. The first Montebank show had the largest audiance, larger than Queen's Show! Little work in evening.
- 04/18/93
- Having survived the opening, we had a better day with more sleep, only to have it complicated with important schmooze seekers and more Cunningham stuff. The morning march included a dance around the Maypole byt the entire lot, with pole arms. Several small exchanges of raw nerves, a stolen flute, and massive paper confusion, but a general feeling was that we did pretty well.
- 04/24/93
- The Main Stage show was complicated by an injury to Shelly, precipitated by Cunningham, who later got himself in yet deeper stuff. The evening started with a Baron's Court where the primary item was defered a week due to lack of people involved. Nancy Escobedo complained that Odo did not like her, and should be getting money, as should Elizabeth Aubin (1st year with Clan), to which the responce was that we are only allocating for LHC, and can only use what they provide, which means priority goes to those who do the mose to make it happen for Clan. Constructions (work or goods in place of money) can be acceptable, but contribution to the group is needed. It finished off with Jessica Gillan's Handfasting to Lonny Rawlings. The Chief had dinner with them and family, while most of the rest of the core did music with Siimon Spalding at Montebank. The evening finished, after the young ones had kipped, and the Fosses visited from 0200 to 0430, killing the good Scotch.
- 04/25/93
- Another Faire day, ending with more Cunningham fallout and a burlap rigging party, and Dean McCoy getting briefed for acting as NCOIC for workshop in the woods. The lost and found haul was large.
- 05/01/93
- The inset for the last purlin was cut in the morning. Michael Puente took most of the attention on stage, with the second Montebank show being changed to 1630 Main Stage to close it, doubling the crowd. The Baron's Court was brief, with Cunningham defered again, and then the purlin was finished, with only the diagonal left to do. Then we had light for Athene's Musical, which lasted past the power, and a note that flash pictures were not allowed, and once officially over, lasted until midnight, the promissed end to the music.
- 05/02/93
- Bill had two vidio cameras out to film the battle which went well, and Leslie caught Cunningham in the battle, where he was not supposed to be, for more problems.
- 05/04/93
- Clan Destine 2 #5 is out, attacking finances. The numbers, as expected, are inconsistant and wrong.
- 05/07/93
- The ernest run to get the boat finished begins, with finishing the stringers and clinching the nails.
- 05/08/93
- A "Badget, 6'3", 175 lb, Am. Indian" is sought by Security for stalking and threats, and found at the Italians. The work party goes through the night with Booth, Abbott, Spaulding, and Montgomery tarring most of the night, finished to the end of the tar by Padraig and Odo 0630. We got Padraig's pictures duped ($200+), with one copy for us and one for Faire.
- 05/08/93
- Clan Destine 2 additional mailings.
- 05/09/93
- Additional tar finishes the boat tarring, while Dean and Odo finish pegging the ribs and Booth does the foot boards. An after dark Christening was performed on the island, and pictures taken of her first dip in the drink (little seepage). Beau ended rather ragged.
- 05/10/93
- Padriag Mor gets sea trials with Padraig, Simon, ___ ____, going seven miles toward Ana Cappa before turning around to get back before the wind was too bad, with Dean in the chase boat taking pictures. Thrrcrce thole pins were completed in the morning for the 8am to 4pm trip.
- 05/15/93
- The Ceildhe was complicated by three heavy, short bursts of rain, and lots of sheet lightening, but all six of Norm's tarps were put in use to involk Murphy's law.
- 05/16/93
- Another muggy Faire day.
- 05/22/93
- Padraig Mor got back onto site for the big public Christening at Simon's on the upper lake at 1700, with rides for many, and much learning about how to make her go.
- 05/23/93
- A very hairy battle, with Stoddard's Sgt. punching Craig Robinson in the face and the lowlanders on our side charging the muskets.
-
- 07/27/93
- Seannachie #97 out.
- 08/07/93
- Keith Cunningham wrote Steve "Retiring" will all "Time in grade, rank and privilages", and claimed Steve owes him $325.00.
- 08/08/93
- Dean McCoy and Cathy Bourque "Retired" in writing, following Keith's formula. The Clan meeting covered the calendar thru October, and cited a need for recruiting lots of apperntices for next year, and noted a need to fill recent holes. In the Officer's meeting Bill stated he was with Steve, not the "Wild Geese", in responce to quiry.
