In 1993 Clan MacColin of Glenderry and Padraig O'Duinnin of Ireland built a noamhog at the Rennisance Pleasure Faire in Devore. Wood was hauled from the northwest, steam bending of it was done on site, nailed with copper nails, covered in canvas and tarred. It was launcched and used on the lake, and later rowed most of the way to Santa Cruz Island in the Channel Islands before fog forced a return to Ventura.
